How cannabis vapes work.
A cannabis vape consists of two parts: a battery and a cartridge (or pod) filled with cannabis oil. The battery heats a small coil inside the cartridge, turning the oil into vapor you inhale. No combustion, no smoke, no ash.
The oil inside the cartridge is a concentrated form of cannabis, extracted from flower using various methods. Different extraction processes produce different types of oil, each with its own potency, flavor profile, and price point.
Vapes offer the fastest onset of any cannabis product (1-5 minutes) with effects lasting 1-3 hours. They produce minimal odor compared to smoking, making them the most discreet inhalation method. Dosing is intuitive: one small puff at a time.

Distillate
Most PopularHighly refined cannabis oil stripped down to near-pure THC. Consistent, potent, and typically the most affordable option. Botanical or cannabis-derived terpenes are added back for flavor. Clean, predictable effects.
Live Resin
Flavor-RichMade from fresh-frozen cannabis (harvested and frozen immediately, never dried). Preserves the full terpene profile of the living plant. Richer flavor and more nuanced effects than distillate. The sweet spot of potency and flavor.
Live Rosin
SolventlessSolventless extraction using heat and pressure on fresh-frozen material. No chemical solvents at any stage. The cleanest, most natural concentrate available. Complex flavor, full-spectrum effects. Premium pricing reflects the craft process.
Full-Spectrum / Sauce
Whole PlantThick, terpene-heavy oil that retains a broad range of cannabinoids and terpenes beyond just THC. Often includes minor cannabinoids like CBG and CBN. The closest vape experience to smoking actual flower.
Getting the most from your vape.
A few simple practices will improve your experience and extend the life of your cartridge and battery.
Battery Operation
Most batteries activate by pressing the button five times rapidly. Press and hold to draw. Start with short, gentle puffs (2-3 seconds). Let the coil cool between draws to preserve flavor and hardware life.
Temperature Control
Lower voltage (3.2-3.4V) produces smoother, more flavorful hits with less visible vapor. Higher voltage (3.6-4.0V) produces thicker clouds and stronger throat hit but can burn terpenes. Start low.
Pacing Yourself
Vapes make it easy to overconsume because each puff is small and the effects are near-instant. Take one puff, wait 5-10 minutes, then decide if you want more. This is especially important for new users.
Maintenance
Keep cartridge connections clean with a cotton swab. Store upright to prevent leaking. If a cartridge clogs, try a gentle draw without activating the battery, or use the preheat function if your battery has one.

No Driving
Cannabis impairs reaction time and judgment. Do not drive, bike, or operate machinery after vaping. Effects are near-instant and can be stronger than expected, especially with high-potency cartridges.

Lung Health

Battery Safety
Use the charger that came with your battery. Do not leave batteries charging unattended or overnight. Do not expose to extreme heat or water. If a battery is damaged, swollen, or malfunctioning, stop use immediately and dispose of it properly.
